Extra Invariant in Magnetohydrodynamics of Planets and Stars

Alexander M. Balk

Abstract

The paper establishes extra invariant in magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) of rotating and stratified fluid layer. This invariant is conserved adiabatically, i.e. approximately over long time. The existence of the invariant is interesting by itself, as such invariants are extremely rare. However, in addition, this invariant appears to be connected to the famous dynamo phenomenon. --- Source: arXiv:2607.07654v1 - http://arxiv.org/abs/2607.07654v1 PDF: https://arxiv.org/pdf/2607.07654v1 Original Link: ht...
